Aurora

~Family ~ 

   When i was 5, i lived with my mom and my 7 year old brother in a small house in the town of Roseville. It wasn't the richest town, most people say this is were you go if your not wanted by the Royal City and I hated to think that my home town was built only for that reason but I was young and had no other beliefs. Everyday I took advantage of the things that I had, instead of treating it like it was my last day in this world. I was always a positive child and spent everyday with my mom and older brother, not knowing that this would all soon fade away forever. It was just a normal day my mom was making dinner for me and my brother while he was watching and taking care of me. When one day........ 

   My mother Sarah heard screaming coming from outside in another part of the village, she opened the door and looked outside only to see that the village was under attack by the royal army. Sarah watched in horror as she ran back in, “Akatsuki!” She ran to him “Where’s your sister?” Akatsuki got up and looked at her “She’s playing with some friends down by the well, why?” He became worried“T-The village is under attack......we need to get out of here.” She went to get my dads sword. “Listen, I’m going to fight and I want you to stay close behind me.” He looked at her in horror “Mom, you can’t fight it’s too dangerous!” He grabbed her arm “Ever since dad died you’ve been to weak, you’re not as strong as you used to be!” She grabbed his hand and pushed him out of the way, blood splatted on Akatsuki’s face. My mom was standing right in front of him with the sword in her hand covered in blood. “We can’t stand and talk about this, we need to go.” He looked at her as she helped him up and started to paint. They started to run as fast as they could to find me. 

   Me and my friends were just being carefree playing with each other and laughing. “I’m going to get you!” I giggled as I chased my friends. They started to run too fast for me, “Hey guys wait up!” I yelled painting. My friends stopped and turned around giggling, “Sorry Akana but your too slow!” I went to them and smiled, “I am not!” I laughed. I started to chase them again, when I bumped into a royal guard. The guard lifted up his weapon and attacked me, I screamed soon realizing that I couldn’t feel my left arm. My friends heard me scream and came running to me, they froze when they saw me and just stood there horrified. 

   Sarah looked around, “That scream….” She whispered clenching her fist, “Come on!” She yelled to Akatsuki as she started to run toward the scream, when they got stopped by royal guards all around them. Sarah leaped in the air “Swords transformation! Sharp Iron!” Her swords doubled and became twice as sharp slashing through all the guards at once, when she landed all the guards had fallen. She fell to her knees, “Mom!” Akatsuki ran up to her. Sarah looked at me and saw me holding my left arm as blood was dripping down creating a huge pile of flowing blood. "Akatsuki stay with her," she walked over to him and gave him her sword. "Mom you can't go you used all your magic energy." Sarah ignored him "Swords magic! Duel swords!" She somond two swords, "I'm going to find a magic healer." Akatsuki had a shocked look on his face, "You won't be able to find a healer i-" "Have faith Akatsuki!" Sarah turned to look at him "I will find a healer, don't worry I'll see you again soon......" She smiled and left. 'Damn! I want to go after her but I have to stay with my sister...' I fell on my back hardley breathing, I tried to get back up but fell down foolishly  letting my eyes shut. "Akana!" He ran to me, and started to shake me"Akana please, you can't give up!" Tears started to fill his eyes "Akana you can't leave me! Please just hold out a little bit longer!" He showed me even more as his tears rolled down his face "Akana!" 

   Sarah ran as fast as she could toward the healers home, "Thankfully the healer hasn't been hit buy the attack yet." She whispered, when she noticed there were royal guards all around his home. A shocked look appeared on her face,"Guess it's time to lay low" She snuck towards the bushes. Sarah looked around and quickly ran towards the side of the house, when a guard came up behind her and raised his sword about to strike her. She smirked and quickly blocked his strike with her sword and used both her swords to kill him in one hit. Sarah dragged him into the bushes, she looked around outside the bush and sighed "Stupid guards there everywhere, this won't be easy but I have no choice." Sarah quickly ran out of the bushes and onto the side of the house, than took a quick peak at the guards. She drew her sword and headed toward the door, two guards used there weapons and threw them at her while one of them charged at her. She smirked as she stood there waiting for the guard to get her. The weapons drew closer and the guard was about to attack her, Sarah jumped in the air and the two weapons went threw the guard that tried to attack her when she landed she used the guards sword as well as her own and ended there lives. "There's an intruder" Sarah gasped in shock and turned only to see two guards coming in her direction "Yeah some of our troops spotted her in the western district." She immediately dragged the three guards into the bushes and hide behind a rock, as the guards kept walking. She sighed in relive as she thought about her next move. 'They know I'm here now, this just makes my job a lot harder!' she clenched her fist 'But I have to do it she's my daughter, I'll save her even if it means giving my own life!.' She took a quick look out of the bush and drew her weapons. 

   Akatsuki continued to cry as he hold me in his arms "Akana......" he mumbled as a group of royal guards came running. He gently placed me on the ground and wiped his tears as he got up, and readied the sword our mom gave him. The guards raised there weapons and charged as they surrounded Akatsuki. Two of them charged at him, he ran to toward them and blocked there attacks. The guards still tried to strike him while he was trying his best to stop them from striking him, his body started to wobble and he started to get closer to the ground. He struggled as he stopped blocking the attack and dogged the hit, Akatsuki jumped up and sliced his sword at both the guards. The attack failed and the impact of the hit caused him to fly up and land hard on the rough ground. The guards ran towards him while he was still struggling to get back on his feet, they struck him with there swords or so they thought, Akatsuki dogged the attacks before they could hit him. When one of them was about to attack him again he quickly got up and killed one of the guards that had fallen on the ground, meanwhile one of the guards had gotten up and stabbed Akatsuki in his lower back. He was in shock as he gripped his injury, when the guard took his sword back Akatsuki fell putting the attention of the guards on me as well. They came all around me and Akatsuki and were about to end us. 

   Sarah ran straight for the door and was stopped by 5 guards, she was surrounded by them. She huffed "Swords magic! Giant Wave!" 10 swords surrounded the guards Sarah jumped in the air and waved her arm, the swords than killed all the guard. Once she landed she kicked open the door of the home "Healer !" She yelled as she ran to look for him, 'Damn it please be here!' When she entered the last room in the house she found the healer dead a shocked look came across her face "No...." she mumbled as she went to him. "Damn it! Sarah clenched her fist and punched the wall. "No more excuses! Find the intruder and kill her!". Sarah turned in shock and started to search the healer for something to help me, 'Of course there's nothing left...' she got up 'Now what.' Guards came running down the hall, she went and blocked there path "Swords Magic! Heavy Iron!" A giant sword appeared and swung out two of the guards, when Sarah ran out of magic energy. One of the guards came up behind her and stabbed her arm she screamed in horror, he left the sword there while one of the guards came to finish her. He lashed his sword at her, she pulled the sword out of her arm while screaming from all the pain, she was able to stop him from finishing her by blocking his attack "I may be out of magic energy but I still have a warrior's spirit!" Sarah stabbed him in the chest and jumped over all the guards, gripping her arm as she ran. She ran fast enough to get out of there sight very quickly, "Block all the entrances and exits don't let her escape!" she than hide in the best place she could a corner in the home. She huffed as she tried to stay quite, sadly she couldn't properly cover it so her blood left a trail. She struggled to breathe "With my sword in the halls and all this blood they'll find me in no time, I'm sorry Akana....I won't be able to save you." She smiled as she remembered the time she spent with me.                            
    'Look mommy, I found some pretty shells!' I smiled and gave them to her 'There absolutely lovely sweetie.' I nodded 'Can we make a pretty necklace mama?' Sarah got up and smiled. 'Of course we can sweetheart!' I jumped and smiled 'Yay!' We began to make them, of course I was only a child so I had a lot of trouble. Sarah laughed as she saw me trying to make it 'Her honey let me help you.' We created the most amazing necklace my mom had put some of her rings and beads on it, once it was done it glowed 'Mama it sparkles just like your eyes!' Sarah smiled 'Here you can have it.' I frowned and took half of the beads and shells of and put it on another string 'Now we can both have it mama!' We both smiled 'Lets keep them forever, as a sign that our hearts will always be connected.' I put my necklace and giggled 'Yeah!'          

   Tears of joy filled Sarah's, she reached in her pocket and pulled out the necklace and placed it around her wrist. "Over there, let's get her!" The guards came running toward her with there weapons, Sarah smiled 'Akana I'm sorry I couldn't help you, just know that I will always love you........baby girl.' They came and stabbed her right in the chest while her tears were still rolling down her cheeks and she smiled as her life came to an end.    

    The swords barred down on us when a big cloud of fire went right threw the guards, they yelled in terror as they fell to there knees. It was a girl with flaming red hair standing right in front of me, her face showed no fear. One of the guard jumped in the river and came running back out charging at the girl, she smirked "Idiot." she mumbled as she just stood there. He threw his weapon her, she leaped in the air right over him. "Fire Universe: Flaming wind!" Before knew it a giant gust of fire came rushing out of the wind and went straight threw him. The flaming haired girl sighed and stretched as she walked over to Akatsuki and kneeled down in front of him. "Hey kid." He groaned as he struggled to look at her than looked down at the ground again "W...why did you do that?" She looked at him puzzled "It's simple, because I can't watch and do nothing while the royal guards create more blood shed. I was thinking of taking you and that girl to a doctor in the nearest town." Akatsuki was shocked, he turned and looked at her disbelief "How are you planning-" he coughed and a little bit of blood came out, he gripped his wound again. "Look I'm going to take my chances to help you two it's clear that you really need it, besides these guards are really weak. The only reason there able to kill the villagers so easily is because they have nothing to defend themselves with." She got up and smiled down at him "I'm taking you two to a doctor weather you like it or not." Shocked he looked at her, a small smile appeared on his face. But it soon vanished as he realized his mother hasn't returned yet "I'm sorry but my mother hasn't come back yet, she went to find the doctor that lives here." He tried to get up but fell back down "I-I'm going to go...." The pain from his wound began to hurt him even more. "Your not going anywhere, your in no condition to be moving. Plus if we run into guards you'll risk getting killed." She kneeled in front of him "Just tell me what she looks like and I'll go find her." She spoke with determination in her eyes, he looked at her "Well she has really light wavy blonde hair, she has really light sky blue eyes and is medium height." He coughed once again and more blood came out. The flaming haired girl stood up "Alright kid listen, while I'm gone I want you to just act dead. You can't move an inch until I return, those guards are quite cleaver. You never know when they'll appear." He slowly raised his arm "But what if I have to pee?" She punched his head, Akatsuki put his hands on his head "Ow!"  "Damnit I don't care, if you really have to than piss yourself!" She sighed and started to walk off "Just lie there and shut up." he lifted his head and looked at her "Wait I........I haven't told you were she went." She stopped walking and smirked. "I'll find her. I'm guessing she went to find a doctor, that's what any real mom would do for there kids." She started to walk again "Now just go back to how you were. Oh and don't die while I'm gone either." She put her hand in the air and waved, then left. 'I forgot to ask.....her name.' Akatsuki thought as he remained still.      

   The flaming haired girl ran toward the doctor's home, running by all the royal guards.When she had reached the building she noticed most of the guards had left already but few were still there. 'I could do this in my sleep.' Her body began to ignite in flames as she walked towards the front door, the royal guards saw her and were in shock "That's her! It's Rushu Hanaka! The strongest member of Aurora!" She smirked and the guards tried to defend themselves as well as they could "Fire Universe: Fire Tornado!" A huge tornado ignited from her finger tips she ran towards the guards and they burned to death while the door melted open. She ran in still igniting in flames, every guard that got in her way just got burned. She finally reached my mother, and was in shock when she saw a ginormous pile of blood. She looked up and saw the smile on my mom's face alone with her dry tears 'They killed her.....I can't tell them there mother's dead....' She clenched her fist and jumped out the Window, then quickly got back on her feet and ran back to Akatsuki and me. When she came back me and Akatsuki had stopped breathing and there was more blood around Akatsuki than before. Ru went and got her carriage, than quickly placed us in it. She hopped on the horse and lightly kicked the sides of him with her feet, the horse immediately ran at full speed away from Roseville. I remember being able to finally open my eyes but only for a minute, I saw us leaving my home town only to see it all burned to the ground and everyone I knew lying in pools of blood. 

   The next time I awoke me and Akatsuki were in a infirmary and I heard a hammer and nails almost like parts being put together, it was so loud I was sure it was right next to me. I look over at the arm that had been cut off only to see a metal arm being placed. All of a sudden a nail was placed in the arm, I begin to feel a pain it was really excruciating. I screamed really loud, the person working on my arm jumped and dropped the hammer and nails. "So your finally awake?" Ru got up and walked towards me, I sat up and looked at her in shock."Who are you?" I looked around "Where I am I?" She sat on the bed at my feet and sighed "The royal guards attacked your home town, you and your brother almost died from All the blood you had lost." She looed over at Akatsuki "But I got to you just in time." When I looked at him and saw covered in bloody bandages my heart stopped, I struggled to breathe " Akatsuki!" I panicked and tried to get out of bed but the sharp pain in my left arm caused me to fall back down "Calm down he'll be fine, your arm has to fully recover before you can move without all this pain." I looked at her "Why...." Ru looked at me puzzled "Tell me, why did you save us and who are you?" She looked at me and smiled "I'm Rushu Hanaka and I'm a member of the Aurora guild." I was in so much shock I could barely speak, my eyes widened "Your in a guild?" I sat up in excitement "What's it like?" Ru looked out the Window "Well, guilds are full of many powerful wizards that need to make money, you go to the request bored and pick a job to take. And everyone there treats each other like family, there always there when you need them." My face brightened with joy "Hey Ru." She looked at me "Oh that's your new nickname okay?" I looked at the ceiling "But do you think I could join your guild." She smiled at me "Of course." Akatsuki groaned as he opened his eyes "Akatsuki!" Tears of joy filled my eyes and I immediately jumped out of bed ignoring the sharp pain in my arm. He looked at me and saw I was about to tackle him, he shock his head really fast. "Big bro!" I giggled as I tackled him, he screamed in pain and I got off him. "Sorry I'm just really happy that your awake now." I smiled, my brother said it was the biggest smile he ever saw on my face.           

    Later that night when I was sleeping Akatsuki and Ru were talking about my future, Akatsuki was leaning against the wall and Ru was looking out the window. "Hey kid there's something I gotta tell you, you-" Akatsuki cut her off "It's fine I know my mom's dead." She looked down "If she wasn't she would have been back sooner." She turned and looked at him "If you knew why did you let me go and look for her." He chuckled "That's a pretty dumb question. She's my mom, I didn't want to accept the fact that she was dead." He went to her "Ru there's something I want you to do for me." He looked her in the eyes "Watch Akana for me." She couldn't believe what she just heard "What are you saying?" He backed away "I'm saying that I want to find my own path, I just don't feel that the guild life isn't something I want to do yet but she does so I won't stop her." He went over to me in my room and started at me while I slept, Ru followed. "Also don't tell her our mom died, when she woke up on the carriage I told her our mom went to join the war like our dad did. I'd like to keep it that way until she's old enough to know the truth." Akatsuki took off the necklace and placed it around my neck, he then picked up his things and headed for the door but Ru stopped him "You better come visit my guild one day and you better be alright for her sake got it?" He smirked and nodded "Alright i will." He went out the door.           

   The next morning I woke up and noticed Akatsuki was no longer here, I panicked and got out of bed "Ru!" She came running "What is it Akana are you alright?" I began to cry "Akatsuki’s gone...." She came and hugged me "When you join Aurora, you'll see him there eventually." I wiped my tears and looked up at her "Really?" She brushed my hair with her hand "Yes we will so don't worry." I smiled and jumped "Yay!"            After that I remained in the infirmary with Ru, she took care of me until my left arm was healed and the automail was working. When I was healed my life as a wizard.....no a member of Aurora truly began.
